Fruit & seed class observations

Hello everyone,

here is the place to put the observations on the agar / corn seeds, and the bean germinating experiments.

I have the labs you turned in graded. I did forget that Mrs. Ramirez is on retreat this week, and will not be at Coop, so Natalie will have your graded reports.

    jo!
    I was a klutz right after i got home Saturday, and dropped my petri dish. Anyway, i was unable to fix it till Sunday Morning, so all my posts will be a day late. Sorry about the delay :P Anyway, As of yet, NONE of my beans have sprouted....Ill give them a few more days....As to my glucose test, well, the only one that has changed color is the boiled one....

    D -- bluish black - yes

    Hello!
    Here are my results from the glucose and starch test. Sorry it took so long.

    Glucose results:
    D - yellow - no
    S - yellow - no
    B - yellow - no

    Starch results:
    D - black - yes
    S - black - yes
    B - no color - no

    Hey
    ok -- results on beans.

    a) (bean w/out seed coat) nothing happened (and it STINKS!!)

    b) (bean w.out seed coat or cotyledons) nothing happened (it's growing mold)(and it STINKS!!)

    c) (cotyledon) nothing happened (it molded too)(and it STINKS!!)

    d) (seed coat) nothing happened (and it STINKS!!)

    e) (undissected seed) nothing happened (once again, it molded) (and it STINKS!!)


    Is it just me, or does the cup smell? LOL It's not pretty. Anyone want to smell it? LOL Probably not. Oh well.

    well, i must say, all my beans grew mold very well :P
    NONE of my beans sprouted....Although it may have to do with my mystic ability to kill any plant i come in contact with... :D
    And yes, it DOES smell...i probably shouldnt have left it in the kitchen... :P
